Twenty years between wanting a console and owning one.
I always wanted a PS2. I never got one — I played SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain in gaming cafés with my friends instead, which is its own kind of childhood.
Then mobile took over. Clash of Clans, PUBG and Mini Militia carried me through most of my teens. At college it was Smashkarts.io, played to death with friends and family.
May 2025: the PS5 dropped by ₹5,000. I bought it with a second controller. First two games were FIFA 25 and Mortal Kombat 11. By that August you could barely find one in stock in India.
Since then it has mostly been horror. Resident Evil 2 and 4 are my favourites of anything I have played. Right now it is Resident Evil 7, and it is genuinely terrifying.

Currently hiding from something in Resident Evil 7.
Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 are still the two I would put above everything else. The plan from here is simple: more discs, fewer downloads.
